Mariam Lanji Msah– September 2025 Voices for Palestine, in collaboration with Jamia Mosque Nairobi, The Ikhlas Initiative, NAMLEF, Adams Masjid, Masjid Rahma, Al-Khair Foundation Kenya, and many others, is spearheading a powerful fundraising and awareness drive in Nairobi this Sunday 21st September 2025 The campaign, titled “Plant a Tree, Save a Life – Tree4Gaza,” will take place at Uhuru Park. Its mission is to unite Kenyans in an act of solidarity with the people of Gaza by combining environmental conservation with humanitarian support. Organizers have set a goal of planting 5,000 trees, each symbolizing life and resilience, while raising essential funds to provide medical aid to Palestinians affected by the ongoing conflict. This initiative is not only about planting trees. It aims to raise awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where thousands continue to endure war, displacement, and shortages of food, clean water, and health services. Community members, faith groups, students, and civil society are invited to join the symbolic tree-planting ceremony at Uhuru Park.  Those unable to attend in person can still support the cause by purchasing trees remotely through the M-Pesa PayBill. The campaign has already gained momentum online, with activists and influencers spreading the message.
